On Site Specialists  
  • Cardiology

Provided on a semi-monthly basis by North Central Heart Institute. Services include consultations, various types of stress testing, Holter monitors, event monitors, EKG interpretations, echocardiograms, vascular imaging.

  • Dietitian

Consultations with a dietitian from Flandreau Medical Center are available. Services include individual diet plans for a variety of diseases.

  • Orthopedics

Provided on a monthly basis by Orthopedic Institute.  Services include consultations, radiology services, and Physical Therapy referrals.

  • Pain Management

Provided on a semi-monthly basis by Avera McKennan & University Health Center Department of Anesthesiology. Services include epidural blocks, fascicular blocks, referrals to Physical Therapy.

  • Podiatry

Provided on a monthly basis by Dr. Mark Bradley, Family Foot Clinic, Brookings. Services include general foot care, minor feet and toes procedures, and surgery of the foot.

  • Surgery

Provided on a semi-monthly basis by the Surgical Institute of South Dakota. Services include consultations, varicose vein injections, minor clinical procedures, and selected surgical procedures.
  • Urology

Provided on a monthly basis by Urology Specialists Chartered. Services include consultations, ultrasounds, laboratory services, and selected surgical procedures.

Telemedicine Specialists

  • Dermatology

    Provided via telemedicine by Midwestern Dermatology Center/Avera Health. Services include consultations, follow-up visits, diagnosis and treatment of the skin, hair, or nails.

     

  • Infectious Disease

    Provided by Dr. Aris Assimacopoulos.  Services include evaluation and management of recurrent or serious infections.

     

  • Obstetrics

    Services provided via telemedicine by Avera McKennan Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Prenatal visits and ultrasounds preformed at the Flandreau Medical Center. Deliveries preformed at Avera McKennan’s Women and Children Center.

     

  • Pulmonology

Provided on a monthly basis. Services include consultations, laboratory and radiology services, and referrals to pulmonary rehabilitation.
